Millau Viaduct
I think Jane and I will have similar blips today
We drove up to the Aire overlooking the amazing Millau Viaduct. Fortunately It's possible to access the Aire without paying the motorway toll although we noted that it's possible to stay overnight in a motorhome which opens possibilities for photographing the bridge at sunrise & sunset. That possibility has been stored away for future reference.
The bridge was designed by British architect Norman Foster and is 2.4km long and has the highest road bridge deck in Europe, 270 metres (890 ft) above the Tarn at its highest point
We have been here before but it never ceases to take the breath away
We are now in nice campsite north of Bourges and ready for our final push to Calais tomorrow.
Extra shows a stitched panorama of the valley
It's worth looking at this Youtube Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-9YC7RE2Lk
PS, I have noticed this before but the third pylon looks to be out of place. However this is an optical illusion
