Had a fabulous day out today - I drive over to Southport from Accrington to meet up with blipper john39. We met at his house and then drove down the coast to a beach with huge sand dunes and woodland walks. Of course the obligatory coffee and cake was taken at a local cafe before we started. We walked for a couple of hours...chatting mostly and pausing only briefly to take a few photographs!

The blip shot today is of some ironwork from the wall of the former Formby lifeboat station. All that is left is a few bricks and some lovely rusty iron ties. Sadly no red squirrels put in an appearance today.

Back to John’s house for a cuppa and a biscuit and then the drive back to ‘Accy’!
