Comfort

A walk in Comfort Woods today. I went  up into the field to see the Cherry Trees which I missed getting in bloom - next year! Part of the way I walked with an old gent and his dog, who didn't want to play with Oscar so he had to stay on the lead! We talked about breakfast which is what he was heading back to and vegetarianism! He hunts but only pheasants which are abundant and bred for hunting!
Come the eve I cooked for The Exile. I had told her i was making pudding and she said was it Pavlova as that was her favourite. So I  ditched the plan to make raspberry Souffles! She said she liked the crisp outer and chewy centre, so I made a meringue as Pavlovas are fluffy inside! I topped it with fruit from my plot and local strawberries! We then watched Killing Eve. I love the character of Villanelle, she is psychotic but the actress plays her so well that she is just hilarious! I am so pleased she won an award!
I'm amazed at how light I feel. I have thrown caution to the wind about waiting for a definite diagnosis and am excited at the idea of all the normal things I will soon be able to do worry free! No more watching what I eat, following FODMAPS, taking tablets for the cramps and then medicine for the constipation they cause! No more  angsting about what could be causing them and berating myself for not getting a grip and thereby perpetuating  the IBS. No more listening to apps on my phone to calm my mind and reduce my anxiety when out. Just no more!!!
