Picasso Museum in Vallauris
Vallauris is a town in the hills between Cannes and Antibes.
In 1948 Picasso came to live in Vallauris, where he stayed until 1955. During his time there he created a great many sculptures and paintings including his mural of War and Peace.
(At the far end of the market you will see Picasso's statue of a man holding a sheep.)
During his time hear he also learned ceramics, a craft practiced in the town for many centuries.
Well worth visiting, especially the large mural.
