Blakeney Quay

This was our 'date night' location. An evening walk around Blakeney. Tuesday's are the only evening that we are both free, so weeks ago we agreed we would do something - a walk on the beach etc, but ever since we decided, it's rained on a Tuesday! Tonight, I didn't get in from work until 6.20, and then went out for a week 5 day 2 run with Mollie. So we didn't actually get out until 8.20, but when we did, we had a lovely walk around Blakeney. Jon has visited the quay before when working in that area, and sat for lunch overlooking the boats. I have only ever passed through and wanted to stop. It was perfect for an hours walk, and we cooed over the quaint fisherman's cottages which are now holiday lets and hugely expensive. The atmosphere is perfect for a holiday, but we were surprised to see (In my extra) how high the flood had reached in 2013. So many of these lovely cottages and hotel rooms must have been filled to the ceiling with water back then. Perhaps a reason not to buy a cottage in this village.

Got home just after 10pm, so made a salad for tomorrow and now having a cup of tea. A late night unfortunately, but a good evening!
