Got a start date.

Apparently I'm starting my new job on the fifth of August. Which is propitious, I will have a salary before my savings run out. 

Did some gloss painting in the morning, but it has been so muggy today that the paint is not drying. At lunch I gave up and tried to get the stiffness out of my legs by going up Arthur's Seat. Far too crowded, far too many people Skyping their loved ones, telling them that they were on a 'mountain'. 

Popped into the new Royal Collection Exhibition - Royalty and the Romanovs. Quite small considering just how much stuff the Royal Collection holds from the Russian Empire, but focusing on personal relationships and portraits. 

Then a wander home to lemon chicken.
