WEAR & TEAR

This is the fingerboard of another very early 20th century Basse Laute from Germany - I had to put right another terrible "repair" on the complicated & delicate headstock. I kind of appreciate these eejit cowboys - they keep me in interesting work!

Like the way with prolonged playing, acid sweat & fingernails sculpt this lovely wood. Nature at work. Entropy.
