Build, build, build!

Today I went up to the proposed development in Lonan Drive, Oban, on behalf of the Community Council. I'd been up before, last year, and subsequently objected to the application.

Oban Community Council, after discussion with its members and local objectors, decided as a group to object to the development. Tomorrow morning there's a public hearing on the application. The word on the street is that the council is minded to allow it to go ahead - 44 houses or flats on one of the few remaining green spaces within the town, used regularly by children and dog walkers. My extra is of the view from the top of the neighbouring hillock!

I think it would be criminal to destroy this green space for the provision of a few more houses and a large profit for the developer!
