Grand Opening of DBA Shop No. 4

Cute little Ellie is happy to live at the newly opened Dorset Blind Association Charity shop in Southbourne (Bournemouth). And with that cheery welcome, she’ll definitely raise lots of money.

Went to the ribbon cutting yesterday, very ably carried out by ‘M’ (Chairperson of the Trustees). Bought raffle tickets and won 3! prizes. Donated 2 back, and was going to keep the Prosecco. But returned that too as didn’t relish carrying it round all day. Then went with ‘M’ for a lovely light lunch at my favourite vegan restaurant (which is now No. 1 of all Bournemouth restaurants on Trip Advisor).

No thunderstorms, no heatwave, still grey. And good news a chippie’s turned up to try and fix the enclosed balcony’s wooden sill (wood rotting in places where rain ingresses in strong winds). He’s inserting a new section of wood and then covering with UPVC.
