.....y'know some of those gift bags must have been doing the rounds of the family for years.....

Which reminds me of the Christmas card that was religiously passed with great ceremony, on alternate years, between the Planning Department (Development Control) and the Highways Dept at North Tyneside Council Offices when I worked there in the early 70's....at that point the running joke had been 'going' for about 30 years (I suspect it was probably started as a, slightly tongue-in-cheek, wartime 'austerity' measure)......it featured 2 festive scottie dogs and a tartan ribbon bow (much faded and frayed!)....wonder if the tradition still lives on......
