Bo'ness Fair Day approaches. (28th June)

Although today was far from fair.  

There is a tradition of constructing 'arches' in front of houses. These can be a modest piece of hardboard painted and decorated but some are far more ambitious. I came across this one today. A construction of substantial effort and cost but it pales in comparison to others. If interested google image search 'Bo'ness arches' for some of the grandest examples. The organisers usually have a map to download if you want to do a tour around them some evening.
