Southampton Race for Life

A week of trials.  A puncture in the week before the race and a lost registration pack plus the adventures around doing Race for Life in a new town at a venue we did not know.  However it all worked out well on the day, borrowing Ruth's off-road wheels got us out of jail!

After doing 5K in Norwich last year, Jamie opted for 10K this time.   Along with a few other 10K runners he got funnelled up to the finishing line after 5K, was briefly interviewed by local radio and given a competitor's medal before heading out on his second lap!   Here he is enjoying a downhill run after the long slog up the course's only significant hill.

Raising money for Cancer Research, combining online and cash donations he's raised over £100 with more yet to come in.   Jacinta and her Mum have beaten cancer, his Grandads both died from it so this was a special day.
