It rained heavily all night. Arthur, our cat, came in soaked after a nocturnal adventure. He is fond of the rain.
The gardens look refreshed this morning and there is nothing like the gorgeous fresh verdant green after rain and the smell of quenched dry ground.
This morning I enjoyed a long walk in Rishton and it was difficult to decide between canal boats, a beautiful garden on an allotment, white clematis and this rose.
The rose won because I love the pattern of segments spiralling at the centre.

Well, it is Monday, and plenty of drying and ironing to be getting on with!
