Opening Gambit

We've enjoyed a lazy day, apart from a swim inthe outdoor pool this morning. After lunch, despite the dubious weather, we decided to put a second coat of paint on the garage door. We had just got our painting gear on and everything set up and I was about to dip my brush in the paint tin when it started to rain, putting paid to that idea.

Watched the England Women's football team's win against Cameroon instead. A shame the controversial, if correct, VAR decisions took attention away from what was a convincing performance on the whole.

No blip taken by late afternoon, but luckily our Gaura variegata rose"Gambit" has just come into flower, so here it is.
