Morning swim at Arenales.

Gosh I've been tired. Must be the heat. The heat wave started to head this way today. It will last at least 8 days, maybe more. It's HOT. And it's not even hot here. Some areas will hit 42°C in the shadows inland. Air coming from Africa.

What can you do in this heat? Swim, drink and nap. I honestly don't know where this day went. Oh I did read outside in the shadows. That must have took a chunk of my day.

We did take a walk to the beach and back this evening without dogs. (Too hot for dog to walk that long.) Went to see what was going on at the beach. Loads of people walking towards the sands with logs to burn on bonfires. It's gonna be beautiful with the bonfires on the beach in the dark, but it's gonna be loads of rubbish and burnt wood on the beach in the morning. I think that I need to take my morning swim with swimming shoes on. Luckily I have a pair.

Fireworks will go off at midnight for a week. It's a real carnival here at this point. I just hope it's calm here in our neighborhood so I can sleep. I'd love to see the festivities, but when the dogs wake you up every morning after 6 pm, there's really not much room for staying up late.
