Surprise View

If you have never been to Surprise View, go to Ashness Bridge from Keswick. Keep driving for about another mile. Park on the left.

The view of Derwentwater, Skiddaw and Bassenthwaite Lake is amazing!

You look straight down on Lodore hotel, too.

We walked down the hill, then along the hanging valley to Watendlath and back. The tearoom was open, so we fortified ourselves with hot chocolate and homemade rock cakes!!!
