A wild garden
It has been a bit of a strange day - cloudy and grey all day and no sunshine as promised. However I see next Saturday for Adam's graduation it is forecast to be 31C, just what you need when wearing those thick academic gowns in a stuffy hall!
Gavin and I went off to a well known spa hotel near us - Pennyhill Park - also known as being the home of England rugby as they are based there during international games. We wanted to have a look at their main restaurant which has a Michelin star as a possible option for a family supper for his big birthday later this year. We both found the hotel a bit chaotic, with people rushing around arranging flowers (possibly there is a wedding later today), not the calm upmarket oasis we were expecting, and let's say it did not quite hit the spot for us.
I saw these flowers along the way and managed to get a shot of them.
Thomas finishes his exams tomorrow - at last! He will spend the rest of the week celebrating although most of his friends are already away on post A level trips abroad as they finished some time before him.
Gentleman Jack on TV tonight - loving Suranne Jones in the title role, she is just brilliant!
