Building works

There has been a military presence on St Kilda since 1957.  The current works are underway to downsize the military operation.  It looks busy and messy but the plan is to completely remove the old green coloured buildings and the ugly looking power plant. This will leave only the wood clad buildings that are almost finished. The visual impact will be substantially reduced.  The whole operation seemed to me to be very well planned and executed, including regular visits by this landing craft ferrying items to and from the site.
