The state of things

We had a storm yesterday (picture to follow). 45+cm in 24 hours. My Nordic self was more than happy. But since I had to go have dinner with my sister-in-law, I had quite a bit of work to do to free the car of its 1m high/deep "banc de neige", as we say here. I did. I prevailed. In the end, I decided that the car would be able to handle what was left. It was a bit risky, since I ended up with window-high snow on each side (in other words, aside from someone snaking my way out by the back of the car, I HAD to get the car on the road. And guess what: I did! A neighbor surprised me in giving the car the last push.

Now, after more than an hour of shoveling, can I jus sleep for a few days? ;)
