Blessing of the Fleet

It was a special occasion on a lovely day - the annual Blessing of the Fleet on the harbour front.  It's always a special event - acknowledging the fishermen who at times put their lives at risk to supply us with the fish we love.  Sometimes that risk is too much and lives are lost.  This bouquet was released into the water to acknowledge those lives - a very poignant moment.  As one speaker put it, today was a day to remind people of the true cost of our fish.
