Beavers Bite

While hiking, today, in the Santa Fe Canyon Preserve, I came across several evidences of "BEAVERS".

The little flat-tail rodents cause water backup into ponds. The preserve has experienced more ponds since the beavers have returned over past decades.

This picture describes downed trees that facilitate beaver dam-building. I also thought the pattern of colors on log were neat.
