Calm Before The Storm
An early morning walk along Playa La Ropa presented these umbrellas before they were inundated by visitors. Our city seems to be under siege, dozens of buses have arrived disgorging their many passengers to hit the beach. This was shot around 8:30 am and by 10:30 every chair, every umbrellas, every square inch of sand was occupied by a multitude of people enjoying our great weather. It is a a great time for people watching - as hundreds are walking the sand at any given moment, up and down our short stretch of beach. After 6 January, things will become more normal again as the local tourist go home and we are left with many fewer vacationers, mostly those traveling from the United States and Canada.
