Loch Rannoch
We decided to do something we'd talked about for at least 15 years - cycle round Loch Rannoch.
This is where we parked the car, by 100s of oxeye daisies, and it looks a very long way to the other end of the loch. (I took one when we'd finished and like the angle better but the light wasn't so good).
It's a fairly undulating route, how much climbing we're not sure as godgets gave wildly different amounts, but for every up there was a down! 22.65miles on my Garmin.
(Mr Rat ran a marathin here in 1985 and got round the route in under 3 hrs).
A few stops for pics and one for lunch by the loch (2nd extra) though we didn't linger as Mr Rat was being eaten by midges - he must taste better than me.
There were a lot of other cyclists going the other way round as there was a big event involving walking/running/cycling with 4 options.
Came home an alternative route and stopped at Dull for a cuppa.
The 2nd extra is a Northern March Orchid (I think). We just saw the one but it's a fine speimen
