Roofer

What a day! Two little ones full of life and lots of roofers! Teas, cold drinks (why isn’t there any ice in the fridge? Where is the ice tray when you need it! ). What started as a simple will you clean the gutters out has finished with three new ridge beams, all the facia, new gutters etc. Repointing and sealing the back wall (next week) and the drive to be done on Monday!! The roof part has been done in two days with mainly two people and then an additional four today to help finish and clear up! All charming. It’s amazing how they all walk around the roof with great ease! The house will have been given a new lease of life!

Little Missy and I went on a lovely walk in the afternoon while Grandbaby was sleeping and Ro napping? We passed the Lodgeand checked on the yellow irises which unfortunately were past their best. Then up 39 steps to the swings, on to the Coop for biscuits for the men and sweets for LM to share with her sister. Then back home looking at flowers etc. A really good walk!

One down and I think I’m putting LM to bed as Ro is watching the women’s football. Norway v Australia.

The Americans are visiting our SIL’s family for his Mother’s eightieth birthday! I hope they have had a good day. The weather has been wonderful!
