Life from city to village

Clock

This is Oakwood Clock on a day with clear blue skies. It has been heavenly. I was in this morning to get my hair cut, then supermarket shopping before packing and cleaning the house.

Dinner is now simmering (chicken curry for the boys, and a prawn black bean stew for my daughter), so I get to sit down for a little bit. My youngest is off out tonight, so I have that anxiety a parent gets about whether he will get home safely. Of course I won't go to bed until he is back. The silly thing is, I can remember how it feels to be the teenager off on a night out, knowing you will be fine, and thinking your parents are being silly for staying up...
