The Daily Mynci

Mynci No Mates..

It was a funny day. After a pleasant enough lunch with the Mynci family in a slightly mental restaurant called Frankie & Benny's in Falkirk, they dropped me off in Alloa for the Glasgow train.. big night out with folk from my work in the city centre. I was looking forward to having a drink and a blether, but the thought of busy Glasgow pubs on a Friday night was a bit daunting - I'm more of a quiet country pub sort of bloke - it's not my age, I've always been weird like that.

Anyway, I got a phone call from Michelle while on the train - she was really upset as her dad's just found out he's going into battle with the Big "C". First my mum, now my father in law. 2013 will be tough for both of them.

I was less excited about the night out after that, but Michelle insisted I stick to the plan. Trouble is no-one else did. I tried the rendevous pub a few times and nobody had turned up. Phoned my mate Alan who said he'd been laid up with a virus since Christmas Day (his leg had stopped working), but had heard there had been a lot of call-offs. Only had one more number I could try and that went to answerphone.

If I'd have known, I would have taken my tripod and a better camera with me. As it was, I managed to perch my camera on some soggy fag butts to get this shot before the battery died on me.
