Hummingbirds

Backblip, Camping Day 8

It was a really beautiful warm and sunny day.  We were so glad that we didn't have to leave!  We didn't do much besides taking a long walk and giving Piper another chance to swim.  In my extra the male Osprey was bringing a fish to the female in the nest down the road.  Unfortunately, I was a second too late and you can't see the fish.  I was disappointed! They must have babies because one of them always stays on the nest but we couldn't see them from below.

The rest of the day was spent around the campsite listening to music, reading and taking pictures.  I've been trying to get a good shot of our hummingbird friends all week.  The males are so much prettier but I didn't have any luck with them.  So, my main blip is a female Broad-tailed Hummingbird.  I've also seen Pine Siskins, Green-tailed Towhees (new for me) and Mountain Chickadees at my seed feeder...along with the chipmunks.
