Elderflower

Today's the day ………………….. for the smell of summer

I'm afraid that the full impact of this picture can only be achieved if whatever piece of equipment you are viewing it on, has some sort of olefactory system.

They are the bunches of elderflower that Will went and picked from the hedgerows this afternoon - and they are at present drying in the conservatory.  Eventually he's going to make some elderflower wine from them but right now they are filling the room with the most gloriously summery smell. 

They have a heady perfume that immediately brings back memories of carefree, long summer days when the sun shone all the time ……………...
