Cramond Island
Forced out of the house today by my daughter's screaming girly friends and sought solace, reflection and peace on the beach at Silverknowes.
Cramond Island is thought to have been the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island.
It's cut off from the mainland by the tide and is a regular on the itinerary of the Queensferry lifeboat called out to rescue stranded Long John Silvers
