Burnt by the frost

Literally............

I have heard people refer to plants, being "burnt by the frost" - to be honest, I think, I thought it was just a metaphorical way of explaining their demise.  Clearly I was wrong.

This is what Mom's canna's looked like this week.

There, but only just.

In a week or two, they will be GONE.  Until next spring.

The cold eliminates the weak. Ouch ! 

NOTE :  This is why, you should be afraid, VERY AFRAID, of the cold !  And.... I am a card, carrying member of this clan.



PS.  Did go farming today, but the power of cold,  was my blip-able moment.
