Walking wounded

I haven’t seen this statue before. It’s outside Piccadilly Station in Manchester. It’s a wonderful tribute to the men who lost their sight in the Great War.
We did 15,000 steps around Manchester today and I’m rather tired tonight. That’s the most I’ve done since I broke my hip last year.
One of the places we went to was the old Daily Express building which is being converted at the moment. Mr M’s parents had a confectioner’s shop next door to it in the 1950’s. The whole area is being regenerated and is looking quite smart.
