...of Prince Wilhelm of Hessen’s palace on Rosenhöhe (roses’ height). After Wilhelm’s death, 1900-1944 here the Prussian embassy to Hessen-Darmstadt was housed. In the fatal air raid on Sept 11, 1944 also this building was ruined. If you look closely, the golden spire of the Russian chapel on Mathildenhöhe peeks through the bushes.
