Our Summer Project

M and I have finally made a start on our summer 'Summerhouse Project'.

Today we've cleared out all the contents (see extra), including the 'raspberry sorbet coloured' flower-textured carpet, that wasn't our favourite to say the least. We were delighted to find healthy, dry wooden floorboards underneath.  Some of the contents are in the loft, some for sorting and shredding, and some to the tip (anyone want a broken Dyson bag-less cleaner?)

The next stage is to sand it all down, inside and out, re-paint the outside in the same colours.  Then we're going to paint it all white inside with some blue stipes here and there.  Then fit a wide shelf at the back with storage underneath and then we can fun decorating it with bunting, pictures, rugs, our new wicker chairs and all sorts of fun seaside ornaments that we've collected. It even has power and lighting too.  The aim is to make it look a bit like a fun beach hut.  I can just see us sitting in there with a glass or two of something nice on a summer evening looking out onto the garden.
