Not a great photo but I actually like the simplicity of it.
An early read & coffee, breakfast then a walk with Millie. We went by the lake in the park this morning hoping I might find a subject for today's blip. Plenty of young ducklings with mums on the water, & a French Bulldog called Buster on the waters edge. His owner told me that this breed have to be taught to swim as they are so heavy they sink. Interesting! Not a breed that I could warm to I'm afraid. I know they are "on trend" at the mo, knocking Doodle combinations/mongrels off pole position. So no blip material down there, got back put the kettle on in readiness for a catch up with cassiesmum who's on her way over for a cuppa & possible blip outing. weather did'nt improve, if anything got worse so we just nattered away until it was time for her to go home & fed Cassie. No sooner had she gone then there was a knock on the door, another visitor. Nicky & her dog, Ella.  What a busy day!!! Hubby then arrived to pick up the letter I'd written explaining why his car registration did'nt come up on the parking ticket machine. I did tell you about it, did'nt I? Well I might not of, its a long story and I don't want to bore you. I just hope we don't get the £60 parking fine. We had bought a ticket.
He did'nt stop any longer than pick up the letter. After which I kept looking out the window hoping for a break in the weather. Nah! So, I as thinking about cooking some sweet n sour belly pork rashers, & also thought I might get a blip image down around Torquay harbour/marina. Loaded Millie in the car and set off. Managed to get in the car park above the harbour. Took a few shots, jumped back in the car without needing to purchase a ticket then nipped into Asda ..... no belly pork rashers. Oh poo! Settled for chicken thighs,  a punnet of apricots £1, (lovely & sweet), a wedge of pineapple, a great way of selling it as a whole pineapple would take me ages to eat, & I wanted it for the sweet n sour sauce, plus 3 begonia pendula that leapt into my basket. Got through the checkout then remembered I had'nt bought my cider .... Cider purchased, Millie & I stopped at the local park. She had been very good & patient sat in the back of the car all through our journey ,with a ball in her mouth, so the ball went to the park, but she is so naughty, she drops the ball, then as I go to pick it up she grabs it and runs off.
Back to base, did a bit of dead heading, the roses look so untidy when they drop their petals.
Made dinner, came and sat in the lounge with a coffee afterwards and there crossing the bay was this container ship, I got three snaps before it disappeared from view and this is one of them. Cropped a bit. My little Lumix is'nt quite up to the task. It could so easily have been one of my Torquay harbour shots. I think blue skies would look better as a backdrop for the English Riviera though, which hopefully they will be tomorrow.

Thanks to Freyjad for hosting wide Wednesday, &  tag water/sea/river/lake
