This quiet strip of ground between Dynamic Earth and the Parliament's 'stem' was unusually busy today as the walkway through from Holyrood Rd to the Parliament was blocked by the police 'for security'.

But the enclosed greenness of the space seemed to preclude noise or speed and everyone, dressed for the office or leisure, seemed to need to stroll quietly.

An unintended consequence, surely.
