Another brick in the wall...

Day 4 Cambodia

For the next three days, we are working with BSDA(Buddhism for Social Development) to build a wall around part of the school to make it more secure for the students staying there (https://www.bsda-cambodia.org).

It was hard work mixing concrete then laying bricks during a very hot day but the students did really well. This evening we watched the film First They Shot my Father, directed and produced by Angelina Jolie. It brought home to us again the harrowing events of life under the Khmer Rouge. One third of the Cambodian population was killed between 1975-9.
