Still a little damp out.

The weather people tell us that 2012 is likely to be the wettest year in the UK since modern records began.

The fields in this part of Essex are a few feet under water, as they were back in May also. However, five miles in the other direction and the fields are comparatively dry!

My other half is predicting a hot, dry summer next year, whereas I think it may still be another wet one. Who knows? There doesn't seem to be a year in the past we can compare to, so we are all treading new ground, weather-wise.

Perhaps the Scout motto should be remembered - 'be prepared'! So that's Bermuda shorts and wellies right? :)
