Homeward bound

My walk this afternoon took me to the other end of the canal near to us. The towpath was very soggy and slippery and tricky to negotiate in some places and I spent the most part of my walk attempting to stay upright! Not in this particular section of towpath though as it is well maintained.

The occupants of this boat are making their way through one more set of locks and then another stretch of open canal to civilisation a couple of miles away to moor up for the night and go to the pub perhaps? or perhaps they will just stoke up the little stove, put their feet up and have a cosy night in after all this exercise?
