Cucumber & Caterpillar?

I'm not sure if this is a baby caterpillar on this leaf but I noticed it as I was taking photos of cucumber plant's leaf. Honestly, I hope it isn't because it's too early in the season for all my plants to have multiple holes in their leaves.
