ANOTHER RESCUED BIRD (LOTTIE AGAIN!!)

Hi there everyone. I hope your day has been a good one.
We had to pick our grandchildren up early today from school, as Lewis had been sick a few times after lunch. While I was in the kitchen preparing our dinner, I heard bird noises....and yes...you guessed it! Lottie had caught another little bird, and it was in the conservatory, penned in by Lottie & Jezzie. Poor little thing. I managed to gently pick it up, and shoo the cats out into the garden At which it flew out of my hand behind some furniture. I therefore had to move several pieces of items in order to get the little bird back into my hand again. It didn't seem to look injured, so I carefully took it into the front garden, where it flew onto a low wall....and would you believe it!....2 little birds identical, came and joined it! I reckon it was the mum & dad!. However, Lottie came along again and frightened them off. She was about to get the little one again, but I was too quick for her! I scooped the bird up and took it back indoors, and into a box with some holes in, some water and a bit of food. After a couple of hours, we took it out into the garden again, and let it go, making sure that our 2 cats were indoors!!. I really hope that it will be ok and reunited with it's family. It really broke my heart to see this. I love my cats, but I wish they didn't have a natural tendency to get birds!!
Lewis is ok and wasn't sick anymore, and Barry has now taken them back home, as their dad has finished work now.
