Silly Squirrel
I met Ann after WRAP and went for a coffee at Nero. We walked back to the car via the canal towpath despite the rain, which shows not much chance of ceasing though the longer-term forecast looks promising.
Some time back I bought a squirrel-proof feeder for the sunflower hearts; on return home we noticed the feeder had a new resident. This youngster hadn't learnt the lesson that pushing your head through iron railings is far easier than removing it. The poor thing was well and truly stuck.
I tried a bit of encouragement but was probably frightening it so I took down the feeder, removed the lid and laid it on the ground. After I left it to its own devices it rolled around on the ground and finally managed to get through the railings. A big relieve to us all.
