Les Dawson Statue

This statue of Les Dawson is placed in the ornamental peace gardens close to St Annes pier. Whilst Les was born in Manchester he lived most of his adult life in the St Annes area so it seem fitting that his statue is placed here. The statue is by sculptor Graham Ibbeson, who also sculpted the statue of another favourite comedian - Eric Morecambe - which is sited on Morecambe promenade
