Lady-Monkey

I've known about the Lady-Monkey orchid for a while but never thought I'd see one. Its a unique hybrid of two rare orchids - the Lady Orchid and the Monkey Orchid - which first appeared in 2006. It only exists at one site (in Oxfordshire) and I realised this morning that I wasn't far away so I set off to try to find them. Alas I was too late - they finished flowering a couple of weeks ago. This was the only specimen that I could find with any flowers. At least you can still see the 'monkeys'. Now that I know where they are I will try to photograph them at their peak next year.
