Honda Vs Harley Davidson

It's crunch time! Took that black and gold Harley Davidson Sporter T (for Tourer) for a test ride this morning. Nipped along the Golden Valley Bypass to Cheltenham, around town a little and then stopped on the way back in a shopping centre car park to test how it was to push around and it was so much lighter. Although the engine is only 100cc smaller than the CTX1300 the XL1200T Harley just doesn't have the punch that the Honda has but it's still great to ride, very different but great in a Harley sort of way.
I did love that Harley 'Thump Thump Thump' as it ticked over at traffic lights and the sound as you pull away, but not too loud.
It's two years younger (66 registration) than the CTX too and Thunderroad will service and MOT it before handing it over.
Just got to arrange the part exchange and handover now.
Yes, I will really, REALLY, miss the CTX, the best bike around I reckon, if only they could shave 100kg off it!
