Art in Nature at Calgary
A wet start today so we had a gentle start to the day - I’m reading a fascinating book by a woman who purchased and developed a small wood near the Somerset Levels .’A Wood of One’s Own’ by Ruth Pavey .
We went for lunch to the cafe and Arts Gallery at Calgary . The willow sculpture was just being finished off when we arrived - it’s a selkie but hasn’t been named yet . There’s lots of other quirky pieces around such as the miniature doll’s house depicting life on the island.
After some shopping at the little post office in Dervaig we returned to Calgary for a walk when the sun came out and were treated to an eagle soaring overhead but I wasn’t sure if it was a white tailed one or a golden eagle .Magnificent whichever.
