Birdwatching over breakfast- good job there was a bird book to hand. Drove to Lamlash and had coffee sitting in the sun and watching over a collie whilst his owner went shopping. Also lovely walk along the beach. Drove round the south coast of the island- lovely sparkling sea and lush green everywhere’. Walked from Machrie to kings cave and back. Fab walk through the forest and along a rocky beach to see the cave where Robert the Bruce saw the spider. Quick trip to Arran Lodge to check out possible wedding venue for A and N. Back in to Brodick for a drink of the Douglas Hotel terrace in the sunshine and then back to B and B. We weren’t expecting dinner to be very good but actually was very tasty.
