Messina around

Next stop is Messina in Sicily, which has been rather lovely (unlike the last time 3 years ago when the trip into the town had to be cut short due to copious amounts of rain). Beautifully sunny and warm, with some nice walking around the Cathedral square (watching all the clock tower automatons doing their movements to Ave Maria at midday) as well as other sites in the city.

Here’s the view from the walk to another of the churches, looking past the cathedral into the Mediterranean, where our ship is berthed.
