Eton Boaters!

We visited our godson on Saturday for the Eton College 4th June Open Day celebrations - on 15th June! 

In the afternoon, some of the boys take to their boats and row down the river in a procession.  At a certain point, they stand up one by one, take off their flower-covered boaters and hold them out over one side of the boat before doing the same over the other side and then, one by one, they sit down again!  Most of the flowers fall off the hats into the river and there are usually one or two boys who do the same!
