Our 'Odd' Mallard

Today it is raining again and the pond is even bigger. There were about twenty Mallards on the pond, but I have chosen these two, with another female in the background. This is the male, on the left, who was the oddly coloured one from last year's babies. He seemed to like the female he is with as they kept together. Maybe she will be his mate, or maybe she is his sister; it is nice to see that he has survived and returned to our garden.
