Making Art!

Sadly it was a day for goodbyes as Steph headed home to Newhaven. The weather gods were smiling on us yesterday as the day before the wedding was cold and mizzly, and today we had heavy rain all day.

As an alternative to finding a walking trail we drove to North Adams to visit MASS MoCA, the contemporary art museum. I don’t profess to understand much of modern art but I did enjoy the Sol LeWitt work. He wanted art to be accessible so instead of sending his work to galleries, he sent the instructions for creating it! If you look closely on the right of my blip, the instructions for this wall were to draw straight lines from every corner to every other corner!

I decided we should create some art in this space so gave directions to the folks and then blipped them!

Finally footsore we retired to the cafe for a cuppa and then it was time to say goodbye to Nico and Bianca, Tom and Donald, all lovely people. Then it was back to the Taggart House to eat up what was left of yesterday’s wedding feast, which included several pots of extremely yummy ice cream!

Tomorrow we return to Boston and there will be a party in Becky and Rob’s favourite restaurant for their friends.
